I.R.A. Campaign in Britain: Who is Behind it?

LONDON, July 8,

Police are watching London buildings during the week-end owing to the discovery ot a pamphlet circulated in England and Ireland detailing the progress of the Irish Republican Army campaign and declaring that bomb outrages will be increased. It emphasises that the training of the present campaigners will be invaluable when England's difficulties increase. The pamphlet denies that German gold is financing the campaign, and points out that if American skill and German technicians had been available the results would have been more proficient. It also threatens an intensification of operations in revenge for any act of English aggression, and adds that 100 members of the Irish Republican Army have been captured and Three lost through an explosion. Complete Plan Discovered

A prisoner discharged from Dartmoor gave Scotland Yard information

of further intended outrages planned in the prison, and affecting London and the provinces.

The Independent Cable Service says a complete plan for the Irish Republican Army’s future campaign was seized in a house visited by the police in North-West London. A man who had been staying in the house disappeared a few minutes before the arrival of the police.

Zero hour for wholesale bombings in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds was on July 15; The objectives were mainly power stations, gas works, waterworks and railways.

Definite instructions were that every effort must be made to prevent loss of life.

The documents reveal that great aid is coming from the Clan Na Gael in America, without whose help the I.R.A. could not embark on a sustained campaign.
