Germany Fortifies Against Poland
BERLIN, June 24
The newspapers publish the first official sketchy of Germany’s frontier defences around East Prussia under the heading: “Fortress against Poland’s Appetite for Conquest.” The sketch shows an uninterrupted line of heavy fortifications from'Memel to Marienburg, with a second line in the so-called Heilsberg triangle. The German News Agency reports that as the result of a lengthy negotiation, Germany has been granted the right to exploit large oil concessions in Yugoslavia.
