Jap Blockade To Begin T omorrow

(Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, June. 12

A message rom Tientsin states that the Japanese have informed the United States Consulate that the blockade of the British and French Concessions will begin on Wednesday. The population of the British Concession at Tientsin is 47,000, including 2700 Britons, while that of the French Concession is 61,000, about 1000 of whom are French.

The Chinese Foreign Office is reported by the British United Press to have protested to the British Embassy against the action of the British in Tientsin in handing over two Chinese terrorists to the Japanese. Troop Cordons.

Router’s Agency reports that the Japanese at Tientsin are establishing seven posts along the borders of the British and French Concessions, in. order to interrogate and search all persons passing in or out. Only tliose engaged on official business will be allowed to pass. Accompanied by a Japanese soldier, Lieutenant Cooper, who was released from custody yesterday, arrived at Peking from Kalgan to-day. He went immediately to the British Embassy.
