Australia Welcomes Policy Of Mediation
(Received 2.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, This Day
Mr R. G. Menzies, Prime Minister of Australia, stated that the Commonwealth Government welcomed Mr Chamberlain’s announcement, made during a recent speech, that the British Government was ready to discuss the claims made by Germany and other nations, if there was a reasonablo prospect of settlement by negotiation and not by force.
