His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, Lord Galway, will leave Auckland on Thursday next and is expected to resume residence at Government House, Wellington, at the week-end.
The death occurred yesterday morning of Mr Edward Robert Fox, deputy mayor of Westport, at the age of 77 years.
Mr J. G. Barclay, M.P. for Marsden, returned to Whangarei from Wellington and the South Island on Saturday.
Mr S. G. Holland, National member for Christchurch North, passed through Whangarei this’.afternoon en route to Kerikeri, where he will give a public address tonight. He will spend several days in the Bay of Islands electorate.
