The “Daily Telegraph’’ Paris correspondent says that police and Customs officers have discovered an electricallylit cemented tunnel with an underground railway leading from the Chateau Mont dc Peruwels, between Mons and Valancienncs, into a house in Belgian territory. A quantity of tobacco and other contraband, besides secret defence documents, were found. Gun-running is suspected.
The police have arrested the inmates of the chateau, a Frenchman, Roger Mitaine, and two women, Carmencita Olivares and Violetto van Biesbroeck.
