Homeless Jews Seek Asylum In Britain
(Received 3 p.m.) LONDON, June 11
Reuters received ia wireless message from the steamer, St. Louis, which was not allowed to land at Havana, reporting that the Jewish passengers h'ad cabled to Mr Chamberlain pleading for asyum in Britain, or, at least, permission to land at Southampton. They declare it is impossible to return to Hamburg, and that the position is desperate, especially for women and children.
