Youthful Winner, Mr E. White, who won the Duke of Gloucester Cup on Travenna, is
only 20 years of age, but he has had a good deal of experience in the hunting field and in the schooling of jumpers for F. Shaw, who trained Umtali and Cock o’ the North for his father.
Survey’s Next Appearance. t Prior to leave for Washdyke on Thursday, E. J. Ellis stated that Survey’s next appearance would probably be in the Wellington Steeplechase. Survey jarred one of his joints slightly while contesting the Great Northern Steeplechase, and his connections would not fake the risk of starting him in thet heavy going on Wednesday last.
