Power Board Accounts Analysed
Details of the state of the various accounts operated by the North Auckland Electric-Power Board, were given by the secretary, Mr S. P. Day, at yesterday's meeting of the board. Payments upon the reticulation loan account, ho said, totalled £5911/9/6 foi Ihe month of May. At the end of the month, the credit balance was £17,779/3/4.
Under the consumers’ advances loan account, payments for the month were £439/3/-. while £2138/16/9 was received from repayments upon installation accounts and from deposits. Credi; balance at the end of the month was £4414/18 '9. and installation accounts rendered during the month amounted (o £2186/2/4. Checking Guarantees. Receipts from electricity accounts in the power fund account totalled £4044 7/7. while payments 'were recorded at £123/0/5. At the end of the month the account showed a credit balance of £16.176'8/3. ‘The meter reading for April-May produced £8783/0 2. compared with £7342/6/3 for February-March, and £7673/3 '3 for December- January.”
said Mr Day. ‘‘The reading includes extraordinary sums such as minimum guarantee deficiencies, but with allowance made for such items, the reading is at the rate of approximately £52.000 per annum.
“Minimum guarantees arc being checked against actual receipts upon further groups which have completed a year's electricity supply. Upon 22 groups so lar dealt witn, totalling a guaranteed sum of £2058, a toial of 17 groups have exceeded their guarantees by £329, and five groups have been under their guarantees by £129.”
