Northland Pioneer Passes
OBITUARY
Tiic death has occurred, at Kirikopuni, of a member of a pioneer Northland family, Mr George ■ Wilson, 'aged 81.
Mr Wilson's father reached New Zealand in 1838, and he and his wife wore among the first settlers in the Northern Wairoa.
Mr George Wilson was born there, and lived in the district most of his life. For many years Mr Wilson farmed at Kirikopuni, and during the past eleven years ho lived partly there and partly in Auckland.
Mr Wilson had eleven brothers and four sisters, of whom six brothers and one sister. Lady Mitchelson, are still alive. Two of the family, Mr W. Wilson, of Auckland, and Mr F. Wilson, of Te Kopuru, are all over 90, and three others are over 80. Mr Wilson’s wife died in 1903, and he is survived by four sons and two daughters.
