Seeking Support For Exhibition Court

An appeal for support cf the Northland Court project at the forthcoming Now Zealand Centennial Exhibition was made lay Mr H. W. Crawford, deputy-chairman to the Northland Zone A Centennial Executive, at the annual conference cf the Northland Dairy Association at Whangarei yesterday.

“During the six months of the Exhibition I know that as many as possible of you will visit the Exhibition, and that you will all be proud of Northland’s display,” he said. Attracting Settlers. “Apart from honouring the old pioneers. our main objective is to induce people to visit Northland and to come and settle in this province. “Northland’s principal need is greater population.”

Mr Crawford intimated that it was proposed to place a working model dairy factory in display in the court, and also, if possible, a working model milking shed. “Cur appeal is that you will all get belund the various committees in your own districts and assist them in raising funds to make the court worthy of our province,” he continued. “The better the display we stage the mere visitors wo can induce to come to Northland, and the more potential settlers wo can expect.”
