Three Injured in Motor Collision

Three people were injured when a motor car collided with a heavy motor lorry at the corner of High and Pretoria Streets, Lower Hutt, at 7 o’clock last night. The body of the car was ripped off the chassis by the force of the impact.

Miss D. Higgins, of Lower Hutt, the driver of the car, received slight concussion and shock. She was taken to the Wellington Hospital, and, after treatment, was able to go home. Mr S. J. Higgins, father of Miss Higgins, and his wife, Mrs E. Higgins, were also injured. Mr Higgins received lacerated wounds to the right hand, arm and face, while Mrs Higgins suffered a wound in her left ear. Their condition last night was not serious.
