Rider injured In Schooling Mishap

King Musk and Eisquit were associated In a schooling bout over four hurdles at Ellerslie on Tuesday morning. They went off at a fast pace and were on terms at the last hurdle, where Eisquit got too close and fell heavily.

Bisquit’s rider, F. Clarke, received a bad fall and was removed to hospital, suffering from concussion. The horse was stunned, and lay for some minutes before ho rose, after which he walked off, apparently unhurt. Bisquit jumped splendidly up to the time of his mistake, and it will be unfortunate if the mishap shakes his confidence, as he is a very promising novice.
