Poultry, Pigeon And Cage Bird Club-Meets

A favourable position was revealed at the annual meeting of the Whangarci, Poultry, Pigeon and Cage Bird Club.

The financial statement showed a credit of £ll 7/ and, with the influx of a number of new younger members, the club's prospects for the coming year are considered very bright. The following officers were elected; —Patron. Mr J. G. Barclay, M.P.; president, Mr R. Time well; vicepresidents, Mrs Eon'aldson and Messrs E. Gilbey and D. Wilson; committee, Messrs Robinson, H. T. Parkin, A, Gillett, T. Hawken, T. Dickey, R. Peters and S. Vailo.

Judges for the club’s forthcoming show, to be held in conjunction with the annual Winter Exhibition of the Whangcrei A. and P. Society, were appointed as follows:—Poultry, Mr J. D. Horn, Whangarci; pigeons, Mr J. Mcllroy, Whangarci; cage birds. Mr N. Hansen, Auckland. Seven new members wore elected at the meeting.
