Germans Costly Successes In Spain

LONDON, May 23. The German forces in Spain brought down 400 Republican aeroplanes, in the course of the civil war, and 800 German fliers were killed during the war, reports the Madrid correspondent of the British United Press. An official message from Rome says that all Italian legionaires will be withdrawn from Spain by the end of the month. The peace-time strength of the army has been fixed at 300,000.
