Work To Start On Kaipiro Road

According to a communication received by Mr C. W. Boswell, M.P., from the Minister of Public Works, the Bay of Islands County Council has indicated to the district engineer th'at it intends to prepare proposals for the formation and metalling of a road to give access to the Kaipi.ro Block. During the Minister’s tour of the North, a deputation, headed by Mr White, waited upon him at Waip'apa in regard to the road. It was. then stated that there was a Government grant of £4OO on the estimates for the then financial year for the work. At that time, however, the council was unable to proceed with the expenditure, but it now proposes to obtain approval to expend the funds at the earliest convenient opportunity.
