Builders Arrive From England
[Special to “Northern Advocate ” 3 AUCKLAND, This Day.
The Minister of Housing, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, who arrived in Auckland today, announced that the first batch of 100 men out of a total of about 500 artisans were leaving England almost immediately for work under the Government’s housing scheme.
He also mentioned that the idea of the work being done could bo formed when he stated that every 35 minutes of the working week saw the completion of a new house in New Zealand.
