Kaitaia Branch Meeting

The April meeting of the Kaitaia branch of the Women’s Division Farmers’ Union was held under the direction of the president, Mrs J. Sowter Mrs A. G. Bell read the creed and alter .a short discussion it was decided to send, as in past years, delegates tc the annual conference to be held in Whangarei. Card parties are to be held .again during the winter months and are to commence this month. Miss Fuckey offered 10 be hostess at a card party at her home on Saturday, May 13. Owing to the usual meeting day falling on a Saturday the next meeting is to be held on Monday, May 22. A competition donated by Mrs A. G. Bell was won by Mrs Vazey and another by Mrs Foster. The Social half hour passed quickly and the serving of afternoon tea by Mesdames Paulson, Parker and Pettit brought the afternoon to a close.
