Representations Regarding Hospital At Kawakawa

Tha Kaikohe Chamber of Commerce received a telegram from the Minister of Health, Mr P. Fraser, at its monthly meeting regarding its representations affecting enlarging of the Public Hospital at Kawakawa. A telegram was recently sent to the Minister on behalf of the chamber asking that before any further expenditure was undertaken at the Bay of Islands Hospital at Kawakawa the findings of a commission, previously asked for by the Kaikohe Town Board, should be made available.

Replying by telegram, Mr Fraser said that proposals for further capital expenditure at Kawakawa Hospital had not yet been received by the department from the Bay of Islands Hospital Board, but when this information was to hand he would give careful consideration to the representations.
