Children of the Ararua School, members of the Ararua Basketball Club and parents met at the hall to farewell Miss R. O. Richardson, who, after two and a half years as assistant teacher at the local school, has resigned to take up a position at the Pukekohe School. Numerous gifts from her fellow basketball players and the parents, and a beautiful silver cakestand suitably inscribed from the pupils of the school, showed the esteem with which Miss Richardson has been held during her term in Ararua.
