OBITUARY

Mr. Thomas Reilly

Well-known as a tailor, a bowler, and a prominent member of the Druids’ Lodge, Mr Thomas Reilly died at the Whangarei District Hospital yesterday in his 64th year. Born at Belfast, he arrived in New Zealand at the age of 21 years. He followed his occupation as ,a tailor in Auckland and Northland, residing in Whangarei for many years. One of the best known Druids in the province, Mr Reilly occupied almost every chair in the order, being a Past Arch and a past District Officer. At the time of his death, he was a trustee for the Whangarei lodge. He was a keen and popular member of the Kensington Bowling Club. A widow and two sons, Messrs Robert Reilly (Waipu) and Charles Reilly (Whangarei) survive.

The funeral will leajve the residence, 49 Kamo Road at 2 p.m. on Friday, for the Kamo Cemetery.
