Motor Breach Charges In Whangarei Court

Breaches of the motor regulations were responsible for several persons being charged before Mr G. N. Morris, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning. Charged with driving a motor car without a warrant of fitness, Robert Barber, who pleaded guilty, was convicted and fined £l, with 10/- costs. He also admitted driving without lights, and was convicted and ordered to pay 10/- costs.

William Coulston, who pleaded guilty to charges of having, as rider of a motorcycle, failed to give notice of intention to stop, and with riding a motorcycle without a driver’s license. He was fined £1 with 10/- costs on each charge, 14 days being allowed for payment. • Noreen Merle Kelly admitted driving a motor c.ar without lights, and was fined 10/- with 10/- costs. Pleading guilty to a charge of driving without reasonable consideration on the Whangarei-Auckland main highway, Mary McDonald was fined £2 10/- with 13/- court costs and 4/witnesses’ expenses.

Driving a motor car without lights, a charge which he admitted, cost Ernest Robertson Mullineaux £1 and 10/- costs. A charge of failing to carry a warrant of fitness on the motor car he was driving was responsible for Edward McGarvey Rowles, who pleaded guilty, being fined £1 10/- with 10/costs. A plea of guilty was entered by Leonard Waugh to a charge of riding a bicycle without a light and he was fined 10/- with 10/- costs.
