Refresher Course For 12 Continental Doctors

[Per Press Association. Copyright .] DUNEDIN, This Day. Twelve Continental doctors mainly Jewish, arc now undergoing a refresher course at the University to satisfy requirements for New Zealand practice. Some adverse criticism alleges unfairness, the, critics stating that these men have held high positions and are receiving tuition from men less qualified than themselves. The innuendo is cast that these courses are in the nature of belittlement.

It is pointed out in reply, however, that doctors from any country with which Britain has not a reciprocal exchange understanding must undergo a refresher course before they are entitled to practice and the fact is that the 12 doctors are happy and contented and are on the best of terms with their associates and the authorities and knew before coming to New Zealand the stipulations preceding the right to practice.
