OBITUARY
LONDON, April 21. The death has occurred of Dr. Alexander Barton, aged 78, designer of Britain’s first airship in 1903, and the world’s first hydroplane in 1913. He was the first carrier of air-mail by balloon to France in 1902, as part of King Edward VH’s Coronation celebrations.
The death has occurred in London of Herman Finck, musical director and composer of reviews, ballets and musical comedies, at the age of 67.
