Miss Elsie Carey, of Kaikohe, spent the week as the guest of Miss Lila Cutforth, Grey Street. Miss Joan Lane, theatre sister at the Whangarei Hospital for the past 16 months, tendered her resignation to the board this week. Miss Lane’s resignation was accepted with regret, and the board conveyed its appreciation of her services. She is leaving shortly to be married. Mrs Bishell and Miss Thelm'a Bishell, of Onerahi, are holidaying in Auckland. Mrs and Miss Larkin, of Remuera, Auckland, are the guests of Mrs J. Peat, Kauri. Mrs P. Williams and Miss Mary Williams, of Paihi’a, were the guests of Mrs 1 A. E. Harding, of Dargaville, for the week-end.
