League Of Mothers
The League of Mothers met on April 20th, for their monthly meeting, but instead of being an ordinary meeting, it was a unique occasion, as three members of the Auckland Provincial Committee paid a visit. They were Mrs S. O. English, Dominion treasurer; Mrs Harvey Turner, Provincial President; and Mrs Utting, Provincial Secretary,
Mrs English is also a distinguished past provincial president, and has done a great deal for the league. Mrs J. A. Inkster presided, and welcomed the guests, and introduced them to the members. Little Shirley Brake, whose mother is vice-president of the league, presented each of the visiters with a bouquet. An initiation service for new members was taken by Mrs Harvey Turner, and a greeting from the Auckland members was brought by Mrs Utting.
