■q As part of the Fitness Week Aquatic q Carnival the Rowing Club staged a series of trial fours events, which provided good racing, although the light •- failed in the latter stages .and presented the final from being rowed. Results;

i_; First race. —McGregor’s crew beat Mason’s crew by half a length; second ■ race; Storey’s crew beat Bindon’s : crew by a canvas after an exceptionally good race; third race: Gardner’s ;, crew beat Storey’s crew by half a ■'length. Club Racing. Club racing has continued, results ;of the last two runs being.— First race: McGregor’s crow beat • Storey’s crew by a length and .a half: second race; Gardner's crew beat . Mason’s crew, after a good finish, by . one length. Semi-final; McGregor’s crew beat Redmond’s crew by half a length.. Final: McGregor's crew beat Gardner’s crew by only a few feet after an excellent race. The first race of the club's last . meeting went to McGregor's crew which beat Gardner’s crew by a length, the second event going to McGregor’s crew who beat Storey’s . crew by .a length, thus taking the honours of the day. A row-ofi for second place resulted in Garner’s crew securing a win by a length and a half over Storey’s four.
