IKeeh Demand For Lambs At Frankton

There was a full yarding of fat sheep at the weekly stock sale at Frankton yesterday. A keen demand prevailed for fat lambs, and these sold fully up to recent quotations.
A full offering of boner cows was slightly easier of sale, but vendors in most cases met the market, and a good clearance was effected. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., quote.— Sheep.—Heavy fat wethers, 18/6 to 20/3; medium, 17/- to 17/9; light and unfinished, 15/- to 16/3; good Southdown Cross wethers, 16/- to 1773; light, 14/6 to 15/6; good fat heavy ewes, 10/- to 11/6; medium, 8/6 to 9/-; light, 6/- to 7/9; heavy fat lambs, 22/3 to 22/6; medium, 18/- to 19/3; light, 16/- to 16/9. Cattle. —Medium fat steers, £lO 10/to £ll 5/-; good heavy fat cows, £7 to £7 17/6; medium, £5 10/- to £6 15/-; heavy boner, cows, £3 10/- to £3 17/6; medium, £2 5/- to £3 2/6; others, 38/- to £2.
