PREPARING FOR EASTER. R. B. Berry is keeping Parisienne and Lucky Jack in steady work, with a view to contesting the principal races at the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Easter meeting. Both of these pacers are now on tight marks over all distances, and their opportunities will be restricted in the future, but the tightening of the limits on the programme for the April fixture will find them bettor placed in the handicaps than has been the case for some time. While Lucky Jack has disappointed on several occasions of late, Parisienne’s form over a period has been of the highest standard, and although she is now bn a mark never reached before by one of her sex, she is confidently expected to improve on her best to date.
