Rangiahua Beats Kaikohe Outright
After declaring with two wickets down in their second innings, Rangiahua defeated Kaikohe outright in the Bay of Islands championship. Rangiahua made 169 (E. Cook 53, W. Blundell 14, L. Cook 35, G. Blundell 32, Haywood 10; Fayne took 3 for 61, Smith 5 for 44) and 75 for two wickets, declared (W. Blundell 23, Middleton 42 not out). Kaikohe replying with 101 (Borrows 41, Fayne 23; Middleton took 5 for 24) and 134 (Dickeson 11, Ritchie 42, Borrows 12, Fayne 20, Smith 23, Garner 16; Middleton took 7 for 59).
