Cream Truck Sinks. While crossing the Northern Wairoa River on the barge which operates between Tikinui and Raupo today, a truck used by Wallis and Smith, Ltd., in collecting cream in the Tikinui district, plunged overboard about a chain from the Raupo shore, and sank in about 35 feet of water. The driver, Mr Edgar Smith, was not in the cab at the time, as he was making some adjustment to the barge. The truck was fully loaded with cans of cream.
