Combined Services Beat P. And T.-Railway
An enjoyable cricket match was played during the week-end between Combined Services and a combined P. and T.-Railway team. The result was in favour of Services by 209 runs to 188.
Auld 47, was Services’ best bat, followed closely by Hilton, 42. Morrison contributed 26 and Ray 20. Bowling for the combined team Massey took three wickets for 39, F. Lester two for 47 and R. Quigg two for nine.
Wallbank 41, and Webb 40. headed P, and T.-Railway’s batting list, while other good knocks were Jenyns 26, and W. Lester 22. Bowling for Services. Morrison took three wickets for 38 runs, Menzies three for 73, and Atkins two for 18.
