Inter-House Tennis Tomorrow Night

Eighty players—comprising 12 men’s teams and eight ladies’ teams —will participate in the inter-house tennis competition being staged by the North Auckland Lawn Tennis Association tomorrow evening, in connection with the Fitness Week campaign. Had courts been available it is confidently believed that the entries would have touched the 100 mark. Although it was at first intended to arrange the contest on progressive tournament lines, it was decided last evening, after representations had been received from several teams, to singe inter-house competitions on the same linos as those previously arranged by the association. The Whangr.roi, Bargain Stores, Mairtown and Mander’s Park courts will all be utilised. Score cards and a pair of balls must be collected before mid-day tomorrow from the Association secretary, Mr F.
