Arapohue Quotations
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] DARGAVILLE. This Day. There was a keen demand for ewes at, the New, Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited’s sale at Arapohue on Friday. Quotations were: —Two-tooth wethers, good condition, 13/-; two-tooth ewes, 22/3; annual draft four and fiveyear straight lines, 16/3; sound mouth ewes, 8/8; failing mouth ewes, 5/6; small pen fat lambs, 18/6; Down lambs, forward, 8/7; shorn Romney ewe lambs, 13/2 to 14/6; mixed Romney lambsl 5/4; two-tooth Southdown rams, 3 gns to 34 gns. The North Auckland Co-operative Limited reports that at Arapohue vendors preferred to wait for the second fair to gauge the market Bidding on good lambs and good mouth ewes was keen and prices were considered satisfactory in comparison with other fairs. Two-tooth store wethers made 13/' to 14/6; five-year ewes, 16/6; aged ewes, 6/ to 9/; forward black-faced lambs, 13/; woolly black-faced medium lambs, 10/6; small cull lambs, 5/ to 7/; Southdown rams, to 34 gns.
