Walter Wakelin reports having held his usual weekly sale of cattle and pigs at Kamo, when good entries were submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was good for both classes and a total clearance resulted. Cattle: Medium fat cows and heifers made from £4/10/- to £6/6/-; light cows and heifers, £3/5/- to £3/17/6; cows and runners, £4 to £6/2/-; store cows, £3/5/- to £4/5/-; heavy boner cows, £3/6/- to £3/17/-; medium boner cows, £2/5/- to £2/18/-; light boners, £1 to £2; boner bulls, £4 to £6/12/-; Jersey heifer calves, £l/10/- to £2/4/-; Shorthorn steer calves, £2/10/-; best dairy cows and heifers, close to profit, £6 to £8; medium quality cows and heifers, £4 to £5; cows in milk, £4 to £5/5/-; Jersey heifers, running with bull, £3 to £4/5/-. Sheep: Two-tooth wethers, 15/6; fat ewes, 11/3 to 14/-; cull lambs, 4/- to 6/6; aged ewes, 3/9. Pigs: Baconers, £3/5/- to £3/13/1; heavy porkers, £2/11/- to £3/1/-; medium porkers, £2 to £2/6/-; light porkers, £l/13/- to £l/18/-; stores, £1 to £l/12/-; slips, 15/- to 26/-; weaners, 3/- to 18/-; choppers, 25/- to £3/10/-; breeding sows, £1 to £3.
