, '. I E. BAKER SUSPENDED. As a result of an inquiry into the jostling during ‘ the running of the Wairio Cup oh Saturday, E. Baker was suspended for a month for interfering with Straightdell. INQUIRY INTO RUNNING. An inquiry was held into the running of Airam in the Hikutaia Hurdles at the Thames Jockey Club’s meeting on Monday, but, after evidence had been heard, it was decided that no action be taken. HIGH CASTE UNDER OFFER. New Zealand sportsmen will regret to learn* of the negotiations , for the sale of the brilliant two-year-old colt High Caste,’ who went to Australia recently with his trainer, R. S. Bagby. The purchase of High Caste was arranged by Mr J. T. Jamieson for an Australian partnership, and Mr A. J. McGovern consented to sell the colt at a price which is believed to be very substantial.
