Money and Food for Child Refugees

(Received 3 p.m.) ' . RUGBY, January 24. The British Government is making an immediate payment of £20,000 to the International Commission for the assistance of child refugees in Spain; ! This payment is an advance in respect to a further contribution to the funds of the Commission. The British. Government has already given £20,000 to the fund, which also received £25,000, from the other Governments and wheat from the United States to the value of £37.000.

In addition, other Governments have already promised further contributions totalling £85,000, while the United States has promised to send wheat to the probable value of £60,000 for six months.
