Royalty Wedded At Rome
(Received 11.30 a.m.) ROME, January 23
A brilliant company of Royalty and the Diplomatic Service, including Signor Mussolini and the British Ambassador, the Earl of Perth, assembled for the wedding of Princess Maria, youngest daughter of the King and Queen of Italy to Prince Louis de Bourbon-F'arma.
The ceremony took; place in the chapel of the Quirinal. King Victor escorted the bride to the altar. Spanish Reconciliation. King Boris of Bulgaria entered with ex-Queen Ena of Spain, and ex-King Alfonso entered with Queen Joanna of Bulgaria, the bride’s sister. The Pope later received the couple. The engagement of Princess Maria and Prince Louis was announced in November 1938.
On January 12 last it was announced in Rome that the marriage, scheduled for November 15 had been postponed indefinitely. ‘ This was due to the illness of Princess Mafalda, sister of Princess Maria,
