Big Yarding At First Pipiwai Sale
The North Auckland Farmers’ Co* op., Limited, reports a large yarding at the opening Pipiwai sale yesterday. There was a large attendance l of buyers and bidding was fairly brisk throughout, most of the stock changing hands at satisfactory prices. Vendors appeared to be pleased with the result of the sale. Fat bullocks, heavy, made to £l3; medium, £lO 5/; light, £6 10/ to £8 2/6; fat cows, heavy, £6 10/ to £7 7/; medium, £5 to £6 5/; light, £4 12/ to £5; 'fresh conditioned cows, £3 17/6 to £4 5/; heavy boners, £3 10/ to £3 17/6; medium, £2 15/ to £3 7/6; light, 35/ to £2 8/; boner bulls, £5 5/ to £6 3/; good runners, £3 15/ to £6 5/; in-calf Shorthorn heifers, £4 10/ to £4 14/; smaller, £4 5/; two-year Shorthorn steers, £5 to £7 6/; good yearling Shorthorn steers, £3 10/ to £4; springing Jersey heifers, £4 10/ to £5 2/6; 18month Jersey heifers, £2 15/ to £3 12/.
