Few Bids On Auckland ’Change
[Special /to “N&rthern 1 Advocate’’] AUCKLAND,'This Day. There was little animation at the first call on ’Change this morning, and only two sales were recorded. Continued strength was shown in Government stocks and shares, while there were buyers tor Auckland Harbour Boards and Cities. ' There was ,a slight increase in South British. There was a drop in support for Gas shares, this being a reaction to the dividend announced yesterday.
The Australian market reflected the slackness that is being experienced over the Tasman.
Prices at the noon call today were: British Tobacco, £2 9/9; Consolidated Brick and Pipe, 8/3; M.fc. Manufactures, 7/10J,
