Albion Surprise By Losing In Final Over
Albion’s defeat by Portland was the surprise of the Senior B competition. T, Wallbank again showed himself as the outstanding hat of the grade. Despite the long boundary .and the poor ground, his tally included seven boundaries and one maximum. A battery of bowlers failed to shift him and Albion were left to get 140 runs. Despite steady scoring, Albion fell short and suffered their first defeat. It was one of the most exciting finishes seen on the ground. The last over of the match saw Conway desperately playing out time. However, a confident, appeal caught him leg-before, to give Portland the decision on the first innings. Scores;
