Mr E. H. Payze, manager of the Waihi branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has retired owing to illhealth. He is being succeeded by Mr H. lon, of Auckland.
Mr W. Archer, of Otangarei Road, Whangarei, left today for a holiday in Palmerston North.
The winner of the Rev. Angus McDonald Memorial Cup for the winner of strathespey and reel for pipers resident north ox the Rodney County was Mr G. McGregor, of W,aipu. The contests were held at Waipu yesterday. ' ■-
