Jolly Dance At Opua

A jolly little dance, organised by the Opua Hall Committee, drew dancers from all over the “bay” on Tuesday evening and the hall funds were considerably augmented. Music was supplied by the Melody Makers of Kawakawa and the evening capably run by Mr Noel Morris as M.C. went with a swing. A good floor and an excellent supper added to the evening's pleasures.

Among the some fifty couples present were noticed' Mesdames Neville Fuller, Russell; G. Mclntyre, Moerewa; Hayward, B, Deeming, Crawshaw and the Misses Doreen Merritt, Kawakawa; Rosalie Dent, T, Dent, B. Cross, Paihia; Mabel Englehardt, Russell; Edith Beasley, Russell; Mary Shedlock, Russell; Jessie Boucher, Russell; May Fair; Eileen Dickasoon, Isabel Munn, Kawakawa and Mi-lly Cross,-Paihia.
