Country Service For Kaeo Library
During the past week the interior of the Kaeo Memorial Library has been a scene of great activity, numerous members of the Whangaroa branch of the W.D.F.U. having assembled there to take stock of all the books on the library shelves.
"Dilapidated volumes have been discarded in order to make room for books from the Country Library Service, a branch of which has been established at Kaeo.
Excellent literature is provided by this service, and many new subscribers are being enrolled, a great revival of interest in the library having taken place.
i The first instalment of Country Library Service books is expected at the beginning of October, from which date the library hours will be extended, and will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays. Special thanks are due to Mrs Miller, who- has worked continually to have this service introduced locally.
