Good Bidding At Herekino
Commercial
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Limited, reports holding a sale at Hereklno in conjunction with the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op., Ltd. There was a good attendance of buyers coming from as far south as the Waikato, but not a great number of cattle went out of the North. 'Bidding was good on quality softs,' although grown bullocks did not bring competition that was generally anticipated. Best forward bullocks, £lO 11/-; medium fat cows, £8 to £9 10/-; lighter sorts, £5 15/- to £7 15/-; three-year’store steers, good quality, £3 3/- to £8 14/-; mixed colour steers, £7 15/-; two-year-old Polled Angus and Hereford steers, £6 to £7 1/-; Shorthorns, £5 10/- .to £6 9/-; yearling Polled Angus steers. £4 15/- to £5 9/-; yearling Polled Angus heifers, £3 10/- to £4 1/-.
