Gold Medal at Maungatapere
i The gold medal played for at the Maungatapere Golf Club’s links during the week-end was won by O. Adlam (92-12-80), C. Going being second with 99-15-84. A medal round was played by members who did not qualify for the gold button and was won by A. Kerr with 97-26-71. Mixed foursomes will be played cn Saturday for the Thomson and Bagley’s trophy, the draw being at the clubhouse. Ladies’ Results The best scores returned at the Maungatapere Ladies’ Club president’s trophy matches were: Mrs Delamorc, 251; Mrs Kerr, 254; Mrs Foote, 259. The best scores returned for Mrs Maugham’s trophy were: Mrs Foote, 183; Miss Newton, 186. Mrs Maugham was the winner of the monthly medal. In the semi-finals of the championship, Mrs Delamore boat Mrs Kerr, one up and Miss M. Morrison beat Mrs Heape, 5 and 4. In the final for Mr j Heapo’s trophy Miss Adlam beat Miss; Hawkcn. Mixed foursomes will be played on j Saturday. i
