Prices Maintained At Feilding
FEILDING, This Day. A heavy yarding of fat sheep maintained recent rates on Saturday at Feilding, with a slight recession for other than quality lines. The same applied to store sheep. All cattle sold well, particularly dairy lines. Fat sheep.—Prime ewes, 21/8 to 23/-; others, 16/10 to 20/10; extra prime maiden ewes. 24/6 to 26/-; prime hoggets, 23/- to 25/6; light, 15/6 to 22/2; prime wethers, 27/- to 30/6; others, 23/5 to 26/4. Store sheep.—Wether hoggets, best. 19/5 to 22/6; smaller. 14/6 to 18/6; ewes, good. 29/- to 32/1; others, 19/1 to 27/6; black-faced, 13/9 to 17/-. Dairy cattle.—Springing heifers, best, £lO to £l2 5/-; backward. £5 10/- to £8 15/-; heifers in milk, £5 10/- to £9 10/-; springing cows. £5 10/- to £lO 10/-. Fat cattle.—Prime cows, £9 to £9 12/6; light. £6 5/- to £7 5/-; ox. £9 17/6 to £l3 10/-; runners. £3 17/6 to ,£6 2/6; vealers, £3 5/-. Store cattle.—Boner cows, 30/- to £4 12/6; yearling heifers, £2 12/6 to £4 12/6; Holstein steers, £6 5/-.
