Disney Gives Away The Odd £200,000
Having discovered that his share of the world earnings on “Snow White” will amount to £1.200,000, Walt Disney has decided to hand on a large slice of this to his employees, says a New York message. About 800 .animators and technicians whom Disney considers to have contributed most to the success of Hie film will receive bonuses amounting to between £160,000 and £200,000 equivalent to from 12 to 15 weeks salary for each. Film Finance. Here is the film's balance sheet (approximately) calculated to the end of the year;— Debit—Cost of film, £340.000; technicolour prints, £56,000. Credit—World receipts, £1,900,000; Disney’s share, £1,200,000; R.K.O. share for distribution, £475,000.
