Marooned At Chateau

[Special In “Northern Advocate.”] TAUMARUNUI, This Day. All roads leading 1o the National Park area were temporarily blocked on Saturday night, keeping holidaymakers and ski-racers indoors most of the time. The contests for the Mitchell Cup, which had been arranged for yesterday, were postnoned.

There were 241 guests at the Chateau for the week-end, and these were snowbound for most of the day, although some of them ventured out near the Chateau later in the afternoon. The road was free again to traffic at about 3.30 p.m.
