Hokianga Dairy Company’s Year
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”! KAIKOHE, This Day. Suppliers to the Hokianga Co-oper-ative Dairy Co., during the year, numbered 807, as against 809 last year. The directors’ report, issued with the company’s statement of accounts for the year ending May 31, 1938, shows that production for the year was 1663 tons, an increase over last year of 46 tons, equivalent to 2.9 per cent. The sum of £157,079 has been advanced against butterfat supplied, representing an average payment over all grades of 12.293 d. A deferred payment of 1.25 d on all butterfat received during the season, with the furl her payment of .41d per lb from the Marketing Department on all butter manufactured, will make a total deferred payment of Dd per lb butterfat. The estimated average payment for the year ended May 31, 1938, over all grades, exclusive of carting, will be 14.043 d. Tire annual general meeting of shareholders of the company will be held in the Town Hall, Kohukohu, on August 1.
